Volunteering

The Caritas Singapore Community Council is the "charity" arm of the Catholic Archdiocese here in Singapore. It is essentially the umbrella group for all the volunteer projects, overseas mission trips etc run by the various Catholic charity and community organisations, as well as that of the Church here. It's a great place to start if you're looking to find something worthy to do but unsure of which organisation to help.

Under the section "Volunteer", there is a list of opportunities where you can lend a hand such as house building in Indonesia, befriending aids patients and the elderly, counselling for students and unwed mothers etc. Never mind that you're unsure of your commitment level, the important thing is to have your heart in the right place.
